The candidate should possess a strong work ethic, excellent problem solving skills and should have the ability to meet deadlines and work well in a diverse team environment.   Candidate will have to keep abreast of changing programming languages and techniques.

The main requirement for this individual is to primarily focus on ASP / ASP.NET development of websites and integration with SQL server. This individual will be responsible for the ongoing maintenance of approximately 50 existing websites and will proactively work with other IT resources to advance site development and data services frameworks using existing objects and code.

Ideally the right candidate will have a related degree and 4 years of industry experience in developing dynamic websites with a good grounding in all associated areas such as server configuration (Microsoft Windows Server 2000/2003), IIS6 as well as an understanding of DNS and associated technologies.

The right individual must be dynamic, passionate about the industry and eager to learn.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Participates in project planning sessions with clients, business analysts, and team members to analyze development requirements and make recommendations for moderate to complex systems
• Works on small and large, moderately complex projects that require increased skill in multiple technical environments and disciplines; participates on one or more project teams, application analysis, design, development, integration and enhancement activities, as well as related maintenance and production support
• Tests and implements application modules from multiple systems the team has developed or modified, ensuring application meets the needs of client and business
• Provides ongoing maintenance of client/server applications or tools, depending upon previous involvement with projects
• Handles production support within their area of expertise and supports issues referred to them by developers or managers
• Develops software application modules using disciplined software development processes; makes recommendations towards the development of object oriented base class reuse
• Prepares and presents status updates on various projects
• Performs other duties as required
